How To Become A Security Officer In Florida
Not everyone is qualified to be a Florida Security Officer. A security officer is required to complete a basis 40-hour training class and a background check before being licensed as a guard by the State of Florida.
You must be at least 21-years of age with a high diploma and or GED. And, you must have the physical ability / condition to be able to perform the job prior to the license being issued. This condition and requirement must to determine by a Licensed Certified Medical Doctor prior to submitting the application.
As a security officer one should expect to work long-hours, have prolonged period(s) of standing and walking and must have reliable means of transportation. As a Security Officer you must understand that you are the eyes and ears of law enforcement the job can be very dangerous at times.
